What training differentiates a Prosthodontists from a Dentist?

Prosthodontists are masters of complete oral rehabilitation. Certified Prosthodontists undergo extensive training through postdoctoral hospitals or university based rigorous programs accredited through the American Dental Association (ADA). Advanced training programs in Prosthodontics include in-depth classroom lectures and seminars, dental laboratory technology and rigorous clinical training in aesthetics/cosmetics dentistry, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, onlays, complete and removable partial dentures, dental implants, TMJ problems, traumatic injures to the oral structures, congenital or birth anomalies to teeth, snoring and sleep disorders devices, and oral cancer reconstruction.

Prosthodontists are the only trained “Cosmetic Dentists”. Due to their advanced training, Prosthodontists are recognized as experts in orchestrating treatment with other dental specialists to provide superior results with dental implants, veneers, crowns, bridges, dentures as well as all aesthetic and restorative procedures.

Dr. Halim is a Board Certified Prosthodontist who completed his three-year Prosthodontic postdoctoral residency program at the world-renowned University of Illinois at Chicago after completing his Masters and Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He has focused and intensively trained in dental implants, veneers, and full mouth reconstructions, removable dentures and partial and All On Four.
